Moon River Oboe Reeds are handmade from scratch. They are crafted with a professional construction and scrape for best results. They are designed for players seeking dark, expressive reeds with powerful projection. I draw from my inventory of Vic Tube Cane (2019) which is processed it in-house. Vic is a beautiful harder cane with regular density and comes from the Frejus region of France. Cane diameter is in the 10.5-11 range, and my choices within this parameter are adjusted seasonally to manage aperture size.  Paired with Chiarugi 47 mm # 2+ staples, a somewhat larger staple than #2 (made for Loree AK oboes). Intermediate to Elite Professional models. Designed for players with at least 3 years experience and with developing to fully developed embouchures. Individual results may vary.
